With a total prize fund of 1.5 billion won (300 million won for the winner), the tournament will be held on the South and West Courses (par 71-7138 yards) of A-ONE CC in Yangsan, Gyeongsangnam-do.

The tournament debuted in June 1958 as Korea’s first professional golf tournament and has been held every year since. It is the longest-running tournament on the KPGA Korean Tour (1st Division).

It is noteworthy that it has been held at AONE CC for eight consecutive years since 2016. The KPGA and AONE CC signed a lease agreement for the venue in 2018 and promised to host the tournament until 2027. Last year, AONE CC was named the ‘Best Tournament Course’ on the KPGA Korean Tour.

This year, the 8th hole (par-4, 395 yards), 10th hole (par-4, 440 yards), and 13th hole (par-5, 529 yards) were made into special tournament tees. The teeing areas on these three holes were pushed back.

As a result, the eighth hole gained 36 yards, the 10th hole gained 31 yards, and the 13th hole gained 17 yards compared to 2022. This was done to increase course variation and help players improve their performance.

The tournament will feature defending champion Shin Sang-hoon (25-BC Card), 2021 winner Seo Yoseop (27), and past champions including Choi Yoon-soo (75), Kim Jong-duk (62), and Lee Jong-jin (59), as well as opening day winner Ko Gun-taek (24) of Daebo Construction, Chung Chan-min (24-CJ), who won the 42nd GS Caltex Mae Kyung Open, “Monster” Kim Kyung-tae (37-Shinhan Financial Group), and KPGA Korean Tour money winner Park Sang-hyun (40-Dong-A Pharmaceuticals).

The winner will receive five years of tour seeding (2024-2028) and 1,300 Genesis Points. If the champion wishes, he or she can even earn a permanent membership.

There will also be plenty of activities and events for the galleries visiting the tournament. After the second round on June 9, there will be a DJ festival with DJ Bandalak and DJ Chunja, and after the third round on June 10, there will be a music festival with Tae Jin-ah, Jang Ho-il’s 015B, and Norazo. Both events will be held on the same course.

After the third and final rounds of play, there will also be a raffle for prizes. LG SIGNATURE Ice Water Refrigerator, Seragem V7, Pauze, Serabot, Sennheiser Bluetooth Earphones, BTR Short Sleeve T-Shirt, Bumyang Glove Golf Gloves, Cladin Chinese Food, PM International Herbal Tea/Garbage Net, ACTS Sports Gel, Longest Shampoo/Treatment, and more are waiting for the gallery.

Tickets can be purchased online at the KPGA’s official website. They can also be purchased on-site. Rounds one and two cost 10,000 won, while round three and the final round cost 20,000 won. An all-day ticket costs 50,000 won, and KPGA members are admitted free of charge.

The gallery parking lot is located at 336, Jujindong-ro, Yangsan-si, Gyeongsangnam-do. Gallery shuttle buses will run every 30 minutes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for rounds 1-2. Rounds 3-4 will run every 20 minutes from 8am to 6pm.
