Seoul got on the board first in the top of the first inning when Wang Ji-hoon doubled to put runners on second and third. In the bottom of the second, with runners on first and third, third baseman Yoon Ji-hwan made a home steal to score another run.

In the sixth inning, with runners on first and third, third baseman Kang Min-ho capitalized on a throwing error at first base to make it 4-0, and then Yeo Dong-gun hit a two-run double with runners on first and third to extend the lead to 6-0.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Yeo hit a single to right field with runners on first and second and third to make it 7-0 and complete the cold game in the eighth inning.

Jang Jun-young pitched four innings of three-hit ball with five strikeouts, while Eo Yoon-seong (three innings of no-hit ball with three strikeouts) and Lee Chan-sol closed the door well to secure the game one victory.
