‘5v5 Gatorade Futsal 2023’ Ilsan region semifinal matchup was completed.

On the 13th at HM Futsal Park Ilsan Branch, Korea’s best amateur middle school futsal competition ‘5v5 Gatorade Futsal 2023’ Ilsan Regional Preliminary Group Stage was finished. Gwiin United, Joy Game FC, Dawon Soccer Club, Chungam Middle School, Shim Hak Middle School, Team SG, Ingi Muring cf, Wondu cf, Shinsung FC, Gayya FC, One Goal Only FC, FC BABY SNAKES, Han Bit Middle School, Sasuni, Green Village FC , Seongnam Middle School, FC Ultra Caption ver.2, Pungdong Futsal, Daeheung Middle School A, etc. A total of 19 teams participated and fierce competition unfolded.

Gwiin United, Pungdong Futsal, Seongnam Middle School, and Chungam Middle School advanced to the semifinals. They won the right to advance to the national championship given to four teams. The national championship will be held in Siheung on the 20th.

Gwiin United, who passed Group A in first place, advanced to the semifinals by beating Fungame FC 2-0 in the round of 16 and Daeheung Middle School A in the quarterfinals after a penalty shoot-out. Wind tunnel futsal showed off its mighty firepower. Poongdong Futsal, which passed Group B with 4 victories and topped Group B, defeated Simhak Middle School and Dawon Soccer Club 5-0 in the round of 16 and the quarterfinals.

1st place in Group C, Seongnam Middle School defeated FC BABY SNAKES 9-0 in the round of 16, and then defeated FC 2-0 with just one more goal in the quarterfinals. 1st place in Group D, Chungam Middle School advanced to the semifinals with a win and no goals in this tournament. In the round of 16, they defeated Ingi Muring FC 1-0, and in the round of 8, they defeated Team SG 2-0.

‘5v5 Gatorade Futsal 2023’, which started with the Siheung preliminary round, will take over the baton in Seoul (Dongdaemun Branch) and Jeonju, followed by Busan, Cheonan (May 6th), and Goyang (Ilsan). The match will be held on the 27th in Pyeongtaek. Last year, two places (Goyang and Pyeongtaek) increased from the five regional qualifiers. A total of 14.1 million won worth of scholarships will be awarded.

This competition is hosted by HNS, a sports marketing company, and Gatorade participates as a partner. Sports Chosun is a media partner. A total of 284 teams and 3,500 middle school students from all over the country participated in this competition, which was held last year, drawing great attention.
