A face-to-face tryout will be held for the first time in four years to select foreign players to join the next season.

The Korean Volleyball Federation (KOVO) announced on the 12th, “After being held in Toronto, Canada in 2019, the KOVO foreign player tryouts, which were held non-face-to-face for the past three seasons, will be held on May 6-8 (men’s) and May 11-13. The day (women’s) will be held in Turkey, Istanbul.”

Among the 86 men’s and 55 women’s tryout applicants received from February 20th to March 28th, the club evaluated the top 40 players of each gender and put them on the final list. The final 46 men’s and 44 women’s players, including those who applied for tryout among the players, will participate.

In this tryout, players who have been active in the past V-League and various players who have served in the national team threw a challenge on the Korean stage. In the men’s division, familiar faces such as Yosbani Hernandez (18-19 OK Financial Group, 19-20 Hyundai Capital, 20-21 Korean Air) and Grozer (15-16 Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance) knocked on the door of the V-League once again.
