“Medical in progress to complete contract”… Ziyech, PSG transfer imminent
Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech will join Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the winter transfer window.
France’s ‘Le Parisien’ reported on the 31st (Korean time), “Ziyech has arrived in Paris to finalize his transfer to PSG.”
At the same time, reporter Santi Auna of France’s ‘Foot Mercato’ also said, “Ziyech has received permission from Chelsea to transfer to PSG. He is currently undergoing a medical test in Paris. We are waiting for a final agreement between the two clubs.”
Ziyech is a winger with excellent left-footed kicking power for the Moroccan national team. He has been in charge of set pieces since his Ajax days and boasted sharp shooting, and he also has the ability to play as a playmaker, so he commands the overall game. In the 2018-19 season, he also achieved the feat of leading Ajax to the semifinals of the European Football Association (UFEA) Champions League (UCL).
However, since moving to Chelsea, his talent has not been able to bloom. Ziyech, who has been wearing a Chelsea uniform since 2020, had a hard time adapting to the English Premier League (EPL) stage despite receiving many opportunities. He has made 15 먹튀검증 appearances in all competitions this season, but only has 1 assist.
Of course, at the 2022 International Football Federation (FIFA) World Cup in Qatar, he led Morocco to the semifinals, but he could not lead Chelsea even after the league resumed.
Even competitors joined. Chelsea signed Mikhailo Mudrik, a ‘Ukrainian god’, through the transfer window this winter. A whopping 100 million euros (approximately 134 billion won) was invested in the recruitment of Mudrik. Since Mudrik is a competitor who can play in the same second line, Ziyech had no choice but to feel the burden of competing for the starting lineup in the future.
Eventually, leaving Chelsea and going to PSG became imminent. PSG have been interested in signing Ziyech from Chelsea and pushed for the signing through the transfer window this winter. Joining PSG is expected to add strength to the offensive line of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.
Negotiations were not difficult. Reporter Fabricio Romano, who is well-versed in the European transfer market, also said, “As we have already reached an individual agreement, only the transfer fee between clubs remains.”
