Tae Kyeok Nangja challenges for Match Queen, but all fail to reach round of 16

‘Taegeuk Nangja”s match queen challenge was stopped. All of them suffered round of 16 elimination.

South Korean players, including defending champion and ‘eldest sister’ Ji-hee Ji (37-Hanwha Q CELLS), failed to top their group at the Bank of Hope Match Play (US$1.5 million) on the US Women’s Professional Golf (LPGA) Tour at Shadow Creek Golf Club (Par 72) in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, on Sunday (27 July). Match Play is a round-robin format in which 64 players are grouped into 16 groups, with the group winners advancing to the round of 16.메이저놀이터

Shin Ji-Eun Hae-Ran (2-1 over) was the favourite to advance to the round of 16, but her match-queen challenge was halted by Riona Maguire (3 wins) and Lindsey Weaver Wright (2-1 draw). Kim also drew 1-1 with Cheyenne Knight (USA) on the day, but just missed out on a win to advance to the last 16. She had a one-shot lead going into the 17th hole, but a bogey on the 18th (par-4) ended her hopes of reaching the last 16.

Looking to bounce back, Lee lost by four shots to Canada’s Brooke Henderson at the sixth hole to fall to 1-1-1. Ji-hee Lee, the defending champion with a win on the first day, lost to Lynn Grant to finish 1-2-2.
